About DPA Microphones

DPA Microphones is a Danish manufacturer of high-performance microphones known for amazing sound, consistency and outstanding durability. DPA's product range covers a broad spectrum of microphones to meet requirements for almost any professional audio set-up.

The foundations for DPA's success, was laid in the 1950's when Brüel & Kjaer, a Danish audio company, developed the first precision microphone. Years later, two employees from Brüel and Kjaer ventured out on their own on a mission to further revolutionize the performance of the precision microphone and founded DPA in 1992. Their first deveopment was the 4006 omnidirectional microphone, and it is still one of the best-loved recording microphones of all times!

To ensure high and uniform quality, all DPA microphones are designed and assembled by hand in Denmark, some with up to 200 hands-on steps for each single microphone. So - find your favorite DPA microphone in our web-shop, close your eyes and listen to the sound of true performance!
